The new option makes first of all makes sure that a customer does not need to fill in their address details when they order something. This will be a super usefull feature if you want to for example sell a service via Shopify.

Furthermore, when you select the ‘Digital product or service’ there will be a help link: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/digital-service-product/selling-services-or-digital-products

This link explains how this option works. The easiest way to setup a PDF download for this product is to install the Shopify Digital Downloads app.

Hi Rash, you can use LinkIT to sell any type of digital products on Shopify such as PDF: https://apps.shopify.com/link-it-sell-secret-url?utm_source=community.shopify.com&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=2023_04_01_1995559

LinkIT allows you to sell digital products with tools you already know, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Facebook, Youtube, … This makes it easier to get started to sell digital products online.

What I would recommend is to upload the PDF to Google Drive, then use the Google Drive link inside LinkIT. The app will send the Google Drive link to people that buys your digital product automatically over email or SMS. You can also customize email and SMS to fit your branding.
