How to: Vendor list in main menu with hover drop down functionality

Hi to all the Shopify experts out there :slightly_smiling_face:

I would like to add a main menu item that shows a list of all product vendors when hovering over it.

I tried many solutions but never with any success ;-( see screenshots below). It looks horrible, it has the wrong typeface-color, it is underlined and it is not responsive.

Who can help me here? I’m not very IT savvy, so any input would have to be quite dummy proof ;-D
