How to View Shipping Label Cost Adjustments That Happen?

Topic summary

Merchants are seeking a way to view all shipping label cost adjustments across multiple orders without manually checking each transaction individually.

Current Limitations:

  • Shopify does not send notifications when label cost adjustments occur
  • The standard “Shipping Labels” and “Shipping Labels Over Time” reports do not include adjustment data
  • Adjustments are only visible when viewing individual order details

Available Workaround:
The most comprehensive method involves accessing billing records:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Billing > Past bills
  2. Click “View fees” next to shipping charges to see an overview for that billing period
  3. Alternatively, export bills by date range and filter the spreadsheet by “Shipping Label Price Adjustment” in the Description column

Limitations of Workaround:

  • Cannot filter specifically by adjustments within the billing interface
  • Limited to viewing one billing cycle at a time when using the “View fees” option
  • Requires manual spreadsheet filtering when exporting data

Imogen,

I am wondering the same thing, but the reports that you suggest do not provide the information that @Beyblade-Gamer asked about. For example, I found an order where I had a shipping label adjustment. I went in to the reports you suggested, and searched for the specific order number I know has an adjustment, and there is info about an adjustment. It seems that the only place this is reported is in the order.

There must be some way to find these adjustments without going individually in to each order to look for them.

I have attached screenshots for reference.
