I had a Shopify account to collect funds for charity fundraising. Shopify closed my account before I entered a bank account. I appelaed and lost the because I was deemed risky. I was told after 120 days they would release the funds, seems like a long time but ok. 125 days later and no funds release, no contact from support. I have chatted with a support agent 10+ times and they always “escalate” the ticket or mark it “urgent”. I was even able to get a phone number and talked to a support agent with the same response. Is there an actual support team that actually helps or does everyone just “escalate” fake support tickets that don’t exist? As of now I have had to pay the charity with my own funds so I am just looking to recoop that. Shopify seems like a scam

Since regular support doesn’t seem to be helping, you might try contacting Shopify’s legal department or filing a complaint with your local consumer protection agency or financial authority. Additionally, reaching out via social media (Twitter/X, LinkedIn) may get their attention faster. If you haven’t already, check your Shopify Payments terms to see if there are any additional conditions affecting fund release.
