HTML size is 400 KB+ (warning from SEO audits) - remove Trekkie?

We have a challenge with the default size of the HTML of our Shopify pages being 400 kb+, which causes slower loading time. In addition, this causes SEO audits like Bing’s Webmaster Tools to warn that the page may not be indexed properly.

It seems like scripts such as Trekkie from Shopify are being embedded directly into the code, rather than being loaded from separate links, causing a lot of the size build-up. Has anyone successfully managed to get their HTML size down by modifying some of the “standard” Shopify embedded scripts for example?

Hi there,
Jack from OpenThinking here!

You can’t control/remove the code that’s injected by Shopify.

But you have control over apps, perhaps try and see if you can uninstall some.

let me know if this works for your. If yes; accept my answer and give me thumbs up! Thank you.
