I am collecting HST but will certainly be under $30k exemption

I just found out you don’t have to collect HST if you do under $30,000 in revenue. The store (apparel for my kid’s public school) has been collecting HST… what happens to that money? Does it go to the school or do parents get refunds or does the government get it? I would like the school to get it. Is there anything I can do?
