Could you share some screenshots of what you are seeing and explain what is happening and what you would like to have happen instead? With that information we can definitely help you troubleshoot any collection issues you might be having.

Thanks for following up with me @reniemel . For your first question:

1) why does the collection empty after trying to deploy it?

The collection should not empty after saving it unless the conditions or parameters for the collection have made it that way.

Is the collection manual or automatic?

Where do you see the collection as empty?

Within your store admin under Products > Collections, or on the customer facing website? If on the customer facing website, please share a direct link to the collection as well as a screenshot of what the collection looks like from within the admin. This way I can see if I am also experiencing the same issue.

2) Where do these ready-made collections come from when you try to use it?

There should be one ready made collection when starting a new store. It is usually called “Home Collection” or something similar. This is just to give you a starting point with your collections until you have time to further customize your products.

Do you have more than one “ready made” collection? If yes, what are they called?

Could they have been created by an app or a developer working on your store?

Please share a screenshot of these collections from within your store admin.

I’m not sure what you mean by this question. Could you explain what you mean by “content it” please. Are you referring to designing the store theme? Or maybe importing products?
