Thank you for reaching out to the Community! The way SMS notifications templates can be customized has recently changed, moving to canned transactional SMS notification that cannot be edited. It’s completely understandable how this change may not be ideal, but is due to the way carriers manage and operate mobile numbers associated with business customers.
To make changes moving forward, you can look to the Shopify App Store for an SMS app that will allow notifications to be customized and sent to customers. Here are a few you can check out:

- Automizely SMS Marketing

So as typical shopify solution an app that will charge you to use it. This is frustrating to say the least
