I am sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this issue, however I am here to help, so let’s work on some troubleshooting together!
First things, first, as you were using test mode on your store can you make sure to clear your cache and data and try to check out again so that we can rule this out. Take a look at this helpful doc here which explains our supported browsers and also how to clear your cache. If you are still seeing the same results, please let me know.
Secondly, please share your store URL here so that I can also test the checkout for you. What steps did you take, or payment method did you try to use?
Finally, was there an abandoned checkout created for this failed attempt? It would be great if you can share some screenshots of any information you can see on the abandoned checkout page. Learn how to view events in the abandoned checkout trail here.

Hi,
The clearing of the Cache has got rid of the message, but now I tried to
just do a sale with my own credit card, and it stated there was an issue
processing my payment, try again or use a different payment method.

Are you still experiencing this issue? I can see that you have both Shopify Payments and PayPal on your checkout there, does this error also occur when you try using PayPal? Also, try a different web browser, as well as incognito mode as shown here or private mode as shown here to rule out any browser issues.
What is the total amount you’re trying to process on the checkout? As there is a minimum transaction amount of $0.50 for Shopify Payments in your region, if you try to process a transaction under this amount, it will result in an error in the checkout. Let me know if that works out for you!
By the way, while browsing on your store, I noticed you have not added store policies just yet. It’s always good to make sure you include things like:
- Refund Policy
- Privacy Policy
- Terms of Service-
- Shipping Policy
- Legal notice/policy
This guide here walks you through how to generate some of these from a template, and then how to adapt them to your store. Clearly defining your store policies will not only instill confidence in your customers, but show that you’re committed to customer service. All the best!
I have just tried an order and yes it now worked. I was trying to do an
order with a real credit card for under 50c. So changed the price and it
now worked.
