I created 2 new pages, but the new content does not appear when the menu is selected

I created two pages: Community and “Contact Us”, with appropriate content.

However, when I click the menu for “Community”, that content does not appear.

Rather, the content for “About Us” appears. The same happens when I click “Contact Us.”

Please advise as to what I am doing wrong, if you can, Thanks :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello @adrianne_1 !

After you created the pages, what steps did you take to connect them to the menu? Just in case, it should look like this:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Navigation. On the Navigation page, click the title of the menu that you want to edit.
  2. Click Add menu item.
  3. Enter a name for the menu item. This name displays in the menu, and can include special characters or emoji.
  4. Click the Link field, and then enter a website address for an external website or select a link type, in your case the link type is Pages.
  5. Click Add to save your menu item.
  6. Click Save menu.

If the above does not work for you, could you please send me a screenshot of your menu settings from the admin where you set those links up? That way I will be able to have a better look and find an issue if it is there. Any other details you include would also be super helpful!

Hello, Thank you very much. I tried the process exactly, even deleting original pages and starting over. Issue persists! I will keep trying things until I hear back from you. Appreciate your help.

I am seeing that from the backend you have taken all the right steps for this to work, so the next possibility we should explore is that this could be a theme issue. What is the name of the theme that you’re using?

A way to determine if this issue is specific to your theme is by adding a new free theme to your admin, and testing the menu there. You can add the theme directly from your Online store > Themes section by going to the very bottom of the page and clicking here:

It doesn’t matter which one of those you choose, - from there you will be able to test and see if the Community menu item is showing what it is supposed to.

If it does work here, this is a clear indicator that the issue is indeed with your theme, and the next steps depend on if your theme is a free Shopify supported theme, or if it comes from a third party developer.

In the case that it is one of our free themes, we will be able to look into this in more detail with you if you get in touch with us through this link here. The reason that I am redirecting you is because at the moment it is not possible to look into your account details via the Shopify Community.

If the theme is from a third party developer, you may need to get in touch with them directly - again, please do let me know the name of the theme and I will see if I can help you find some contact details for them.
