Please help me if you can

Hi @saqlain1

A 404 error during theme customization usually means the theme is trying to reference products, collections, or pages that don’t exist in the new store. Uploading the theme copies the design, but it doesn’t copy your store’s data.

I’d recommend checking the following:

  • Make sure you’ve added at least a few products to the new store.
  • Verify that the products are available on the Online Store sales channel.
  • Check if the theme has featured products or collections assigned that don’t exist in the new store.
  • If you’re using custom templates or metafields, those may also need to be recreated.

If you can share where you’re seeing the 404 error (Theme Editor, product page, or storefront) and a screenshot, the community can help identify the exact cause.

Like the theme in one store is working welll

And then

I download that file through shopyfy and them upload a zip file on another store

Than the 404 error is comming on landing page

Even though i add product it doesn’t show in custamization.

This is what it showns on product page

Since the theme works correctly on your original store, the issue is most likely related to references that didn’t carry over when you imported the theme.

I’d recommend checking the following:

  • Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize and open the Product template.
  • Reassign any Featured Product, Featured Collection, or other sections that may still be pointing to resources from the original store.
  • Also check Online Store → Navigation to ensure your menu links aren’t pointing to products or pages that don’t exist in the new store.

If you’re using a premium or custom theme, let us know the theme name as well. Some themes also rely on theme settings, app blocks, or custom data that need to be configured again after being imported

I am using kalles theme

Kalles is a premium theme, simply uploading the ZIP file to another store doesn’t always recreate all the theme settings and references.

I’d suggest checking the following:

  • Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize and reassign any featured products, collections, and menus.
  • Make sure the products are published to the Online Store sales channel.
  • If the 404 only appears in the Theme Editor, try creating a new product template and assign it to one of your products to see if the issue is template-related.

Does the 404 appear only in the Theme Editor, or does it also appear when you open the product on the live storefront?

You are trying to copy a Themeforest theme onto a second store? That’s pretty much the definition of breach of the single-use license terms… Not recommended.

In both error is comming and it is not showing the product page

So how can i? Reuse that theme?

If the 404 appears both in the Theme Editor and on the live product page, it doesn’t seem to be just a product assignment issue.

A few questions that may help narrow it down:

  • Are you seeing the same issue with all products or just one specific product?
  • Did you import only the theme ZIP, or did you also import the theme settings (settings_data.json) from the original store?
  • If you temporarily publish Shopify’s Dawn theme, do the product pages load correctly there?

If the products work in Dawn but not in Kalles, the issue is most likely related to the Kalles theme configuration or templates rather than the products themselves.

I asked claude and it says you neend to update the code as per your store.

They are single-use lifetime ONLY. You need to buy a new license from Themeforest. Or risk having your theme taken, your store shut down, and never able to do this again :man_shrugging:

No i have already shut down that store and make a new store and wanna use that theme to save time for a custamization

Yes in other theme product page works

I only export theme zip kalles

And upload on a new store

Thanks, that helps narrow it down.

Since the product pages work correctly in another theme, your products and store are fine. The issue is specific to the imported Kalles theme.

Because you only imported the theme ZIP, it’s likely that some Kalles-specific settings, templates, or required configurations weren’t carried over to the new store.

I’d recommend contacting the Kalles theme support team or checking their documentation for the correct migration process, especially if both stores are properly licensed. They can also confirm whether any additional setup is required after importing the theme.

Doesn’t matter. Your theme was installed on a particular store. one-time.

You need to contact The4 and ask them to transfer.

HI @saqlain1

A theme ZIP only contains the theme files (liquid, CSS, JavaScript, and templates). It doesn’t include your products, collections, pages, menus, or other store data.

If you’re seeing a 404 error in the Theme Editor when previewing a product, it’s usually because:

  • The new store doesn’t have any products yet.
  • The theme is trying to preview a product handle that doesn’t exist in the new store.
  • Some theme settings reference products or collections from your old store.

To reuse your theme:

  • Upload the ZIP via Online Store → Themes → Add theme → Upload ZIP.
  • Add or import at least one product into the new store.
  • Create the necessary collections and menus if your theme depends on them.
  • Open the Theme Editor and select an existing product from the preview dropdown.

If you want the entire store (theme, products, collections, pages, navigation, etc.) to look the same, you’ll also need to export the data from the old store and import it into the new one, or use a store migration app.

How? To do this can you tell me in details

Okey if you can help me what i need? In code to change the ? Store
