I have the same products in different shipping countries

Dear community

I have 3 products that I store in the Uk as well as in the US. Same products shipping from different locations.

I need my US customers to ensure their orders are fulfilled by the US location with their local shipping rates.

I have already created different shipping profiles, however the orders from the US default to my shop location to the UK. Hence the shipping rates are very high and doesn’t pick up the correct US ones. How can I resolve this?

Thanks in advance

You will need a third-party solution to solve this problem as rates can only be added together using Shipping Profiles, which is leading to those inflated shipping costs you’re referring to.

If you’re open to a 3rd party solution, ShipperHQ can help. Our Shipping Rules work like Profiles, except that we offer far greater control and flexibility on grouping and complex per cart, per shipping group, or per product rules. Shopify Shipping Profiles.

If you’re shipping products from multiple origins, you just need to set up a rule that applies only to one (or a few) of your Origins and not to all.

For example, you may be drop shipping from a certain supplier who charges you a $10 handling fee per order, while if shipping from your warehouse there would be no handling fee.

ShipperHQ allows you to handle these types of scenarios using Origin-based Shipping Rules. In order to use Origin-based Shipping Rules, you will need to enable the Multi-Origin Shipping feature.

Our Multi-Origin Shipping capability allows you to optimize the number of shipments based on buyer location and your preferences. You can prioritize the closest origin to rate from to fulfill your orders and streamline your shipping.

We have a robust Help Docs site that details all of the ways you can use our Multi-Origin feature to enhance your shipping strategy. I’ve linked a few here for you:

ShipperHQ is free to install and comes with a free 15-day trial period.

Please note that to use ShipperHQ - or any third-party rate calculation app - Shopify requires that you enable their third-party carrier-calculated shipping rates feature. This feature is $20 USD per month. If you change your Shopify billing to annual, they will add the feature at no additional cost (plus they will reduce your billing plan by 10%). If you’re on the Advanced plan or higher, this feature is already included and activated by default.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I actually resolved it. The inventory of my wherehouse in the US was set to zero so all orders defaulted to the UK shop. Now the US orders are defaulting to the correct shipping profile and rates and the UK orders with the correct rates.

Thank you
