Iʻm trying to delete text from the checkout cart

Hi - Iʻm hoping someone can help.

I added a note to my checkout last year, but canʻt find it in the code to delete or change it.

Iʻm not a coder, but added it using this Shopify forum instructions last year.

If you have Shopify Plus—which I’m assuming you do—take a look at the checkout blocks. Otherwise, an app will handle that.

Hi - I onmly have Shopify Basic.

Iʻve looked through every single block in the code and canʻt find the text. I thought it was in the checkout, but it doesnʻt show up when I look at the admin page.

Then I was thinking maybe it was in the order page settings, but the order page this customer has looks completely different from the one in the admin settings. So I placed an order myself and it does come up in the order confirmation page.

But it looks completely different from the one in my admin settings.

And I just realized, it only shows up in the desktop version of the page - not the mobile.

Looks like the standard Checkout Blocks app imbedded block on the Thank You Page. I have added a block to match yours, put the border box setting, and it looks identical. Could be something similar.

1. Admin → Settings → Checkout
   

   

2. Click Edit (or Customize) on your active configuration

3. Top bar, page switcher → Thank you
   

   

4. In the left sidebar under Main, click the block named “Static content”
   

   

5. With it selected, a small floating toolbar appears over the block on the canvas - up/down arrows, an eye, and a Trash icon. Click trash to delete it.
   

   
   
   
   

6. Repeat with the page switcher set to Order status - it’s a separate page in the same editor, so if the note is on both, you have to delete it twice.
   

   

7. Click Save.

Note: that note is an app block on your Thank you page, added through the Checkout editor, not the online store theme. It is added by an app Shopify Checkout Blocks"

Are you using a Shopify Plus store?

If so, the note may have been added through the Checkout Editor or checkout customization. If not, please let me know which theme you’re using and where exactly the note appears on the order page. I’ll help you locate and remove it.
