I need help trying to offer something Customizable to cusomters

I have been working on this for weeks with Easify Options app and just can’t figure it out..
With this app I have two colors to deal with the Item Color witch will ultimately be a suitcase, and the tag color… I don’t see anyway to tie the two together…
I have worked with the support team (* even offered to hire them to fix this) and it is very close but I still have issues, there is a glitch I can’t get past that occurs if the customer changes there mind and want to alter the color of the original variant.. You can view what I am trying to do here:

So Now I am here asking for suggestions.
You can see what I have and need to do.
1.) I have products that are customizable, the come in different variant in the system by color black, navy, purple
2.) I need to have customer choose if they what the item personalized
3.) if the choose to I want them to ultimately be able to see the customization on the color of the item in the color of the customization if that is at all possible.

One work around I thought of would be to have a separate widow pop up to allow for the customer to basically just add a separate item ( for Free ) which would be the customized tag.

Any have thoughts on this or a solution would be a huge help..

When I make selections then change the first color I can add it to the cart just fine.
So seems like some critical detail isn’t being communicated.

Regardless, for third party app problems merchants have to contact that third parties support DIRECTLY.

Otherwise it’s an advanced customization beyond the scope of the forums.

To get it built properly you can reach out to me for services either in integration the app properly or working out a system where you don’t have to pay for an app.

We can help you setup this flow with our Pasilobus Product Options app.

You need a conditional option here that the customer will check first “I want to customize this product”. Until then everything is hidden.

It is also possible to have conditional options based on variants. So options can change depending on what color your customer has selected which i suppose what you need here? You can manage all in the app without any coding.

You can book a demo call or just install the app and live chat with our team

Hope this gives a manageable alternative for you. Custom coding will also work if only a single product. If you have many products, an app would be the most reliable path to move forward.

First, why even have a tag color option, if the tag color must match the bag color? Why is this even a thing? If the tag matches the bag, you only need 1 option of 4 colors…

Second, you have 4 bag colors and 4 tag colors, that’s 16 individual variants. Yet there are only 4 images in the gallery.

Next, the tag color does not change the variant. So, again, why even have this?

Next, the app is overlaying a second image when you choose a tag color, but it’s not exact, so you can see the bag color does change:

Finally, the text is not centered like is stated above, it only looks centered when the letters are wide enough:

The only thing that sticks out to me that is correctly functional is the item property…

My suggestion is to start simple, get it to work the way you want.

Other than the problems that you’re referring to, I also noticed that the live preview image is shifting left and right when selecting different colors. You’ll have to get the image positions right to look more professional.

I’ve made a simple example for you. Not sure if this is exactly what you’re looking for:

  • With additional price
  • When switching between variants, you’ll seethe live preview image also changes.
  • There’s 3 character limit for the text input
  • The text is linked with the color swatch
  • The text has emboss text effect, but can be removed if prefer.

How to setup custom option image differently from the live preview image?

You’ve also mentioned about allowing customers to choose whether they want personalisation or not, that can also be easily done with condition logic.

Let me know if that helps and happy to help further if needed
