I need help with my store appearance

Hello,

I currently have a store where I sell knives for the kitchen. I am fulfilling via dropshipping. Could you review my store and could you also give me feedback about the hero images of the product because I am not sure, if they look ai generated(they are). I want to get some paid traffic to this store and that’s why, I want it to be solid (not completely optimized) first.

Thanks in advance!

btw, the store link is here: glowvyn.com I haven’t made any sales so far.

Hey @Janadabagma first of all Welcome to Shopify Community so their is some changes that you have to apply in your website

their is a empty space in your announcement bar and also if you want to show your complete image in your hero section you have to resize your image for desktop and also mobile view the size for the desktop image is
2400/1000 for desktop size
750/ 1100 for mobile size
and also you have to make your home page more attractive for customer
that’s it hope you like

Thank you for your response. I am now working on improving my homepage.

Hi @Janadabagma

At first glance, your store seems fine: dark colors, but also dark images that match. For AI images, yes it is a bit noticeable, but it looks solid. It depends on how they look in reality. If it is 100% match, then it is fine. But you can imagine issues when a customer acctully buy and gets something that is different.
Edit: I saw some products that have a black background as the second image and that one might be the real one, and the first just AI-enhanced, right? Then it is fine.

As @Mustafa_Ali noticed, you have a big space at the top. It comes from the Custom liquid section, where you placed some CSS styles to hide things. Note, you should have used the Custom CSS setting, for example, in the Header, or just place it at the end of the base.css file.

Also, that welcome message just takes some space, you see it once, and then it is not needed.

The product page is solid, but the info part feels a bit narrow. As, for example your product name can take 5 rows, which is too much. You have both some customer reassurance icons and payment icons, which are good trust signals. You do need some reviews, which would also help. And please, make that add to cart button full background color, white or any other accent color, as in the Dawn theme, which is the default, but for me, it does not make the button noticeable. It looks like an input field with a label.

For me, the third product image Us vs. Them should be a section, as well as the fourth image, dimensions. While I think Google can read from images, not sure if that counts the same as text for SEO. But also, it should be clearer to customers as a separate section.

About us page ius bit generic, maybe AI-generated, also, it does not say much about you personally.

Good luck, you have a solid foundation, but it is a tough market.

Great If you have any query about it feel free to share it

Hi, thank you for your response and this feedback is worth very much for me. I will definitely implement some things you said. I have one question tho. Would you say, that the niche is so competitive, that I have no change in succeeding with my store or can I do it in this niche?Because I already spent a lot of time into building this.

You have a chance. Even market is generally overcrowded, your niche maybe not that much like others. Still, it is a long way, in any niche, you have to do marketing and socials well. Good luck.

Your website looks quite clean and well organized. The only thing I noticed is that the text feels a bit small, which can be uncomfortable for people with poor eyesight like me. You might also consider using a lighter background instead of pure #000000. Wishing you success with your store!

For images, use some editing tools, like photoroom, apimage, adobe express, or something similar. They preserve your original product while editing the image. For the style, I think a dark aesthetic, maybe the knives on an dark oak cutting board would look nice.
