I need Help

I am using the Dawn theme and am having a problem with the fact that the changes I make are only visible in the theme editor and not on the online page. I tried everything and Shopify support told me to ask here.

@Blendi1 a common mistake is that you might be making the changes in a theme but are previewing a different one, which might make it look like your changes are not being saved at all.

In any case, can you share your store’s URL?

If you have multiple markets, then make sure you have edited the theme in the correct display market.
You can see what market you are editing by checking the menu next to the dropdown homepage menu.

Hi @Blendi1
What’s the modification you want? Can you share your requirement?

Hi,

Hope this will help

Here are the most common causes

  • You’re editing a draft theme instead of live one
  • Your browser is loading a cached version of your site
  • There’s custom code overriding editor settings
  • A duplicated section or template is being edited
  • Apps injecting their own layout or CSS

Hey @Blendi1!

May i please know what steps you have already taken? You might be seeing this issue because you’re viewing a different theme from the one where your changes were published.

Will be looking to your response!

For additional help, you can also take a look at this forum post that discusses a similar issue to yours: Why aren’t my changes showing in the Dawn Version theme preview?

Hi
I’ve seen this happen sometimes with Dawn. It sounds like the changes are saving in the editor but not reflecting live it could be related to caching, unpublished sections, or theme settings. I’ve helped a few Shopify store owners with similar issues, and sometimes a small adjustment outside the editor solves it.

I can guide you through a few steps that usually fix this so your changes show up live.

Hey,

This usually means the changes were made in an unpublished theme. You need to publish the theme for changes to appear live.

Go to Online Store > Themes, find your edited theme, and click Actions > Publish.
