Hi! I’m trying to set up my shop with three pricing options for individual products. There is only one unique product (pottery pieces) and they don’t come in variants- it’s each piece is only one unique piece of art. However, I’m trying to set up payments so that people can choose between three price tiers (supported, fair market, and rebalancing) so that folks can choose what price points work best for them. The issue I’m having is that variants make it seem as though there are three available versions to purchase, when there is only one.
I’ve tried various Pay What You Want apps and they don’t quite work, either. How can I set up a product listing so that the variants are only about what someone can afford to pay, and so that the item doesn’t get listed as having more than one in stock?
I have to ask the same question, any solution will be appreciated…
Hi @peaflowertea ,
I’d like to offer a solution for your issue, using the Easify Product Options app. Here’s how it works
:
-
Keep your current product with 3 variants (representing 3 pricing options), which will serve as custom options within the app later. This original product is designated solely for adding extra prices and will be hidden on the storefront using the seo.hidden metafield.
-
Create a new main product to replace your original one. This main product should have no price or variants, with a quantity set to 1, and it will be visible on the storefront.
-
Install the app and set up a new option set.
-
Add an option to display your tiered pricing, for example, using Radio Buttons. Link the option values with the variants of your original products.
- Lastly, add the option set to your new main product.
Since the main new product has a quantity of 1, once it’s purchased, the product will be automatically marked as sold out.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, feel free to let me know, or you can reach out to the Easify team via in-app support for assistance.
Thank you for this! I’m going to try it, and I’ll report back. Thanks again!
Did this work? I have a similar issue?
I’ve tried Hulk Options with pricing and that worked, but when I download the orders, the item purchased is on a different line in excel than the name, etc… that doesn’t work for me.
Don’t get Any Solution???
