I know we can get the .atom feed from our blog posts… but let’s say I want the feeds to go to news sites, and I need it to pull up the image and the alt text of the image on an RSS feed to send to other sites.
Anyone have any idea if this is possible on Shopify blogs?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a built-in way on Shopify blogs to directly include image alt text in the .atom feed. While the feed itself exists, it currently doesn’t capture alt-text information.
Consider Shopify app stores for apps that can generate custom RSS feeds for your blog. These might offer more control over what information gets included, potentially including image alt text
