I got ghosted by a developer that was going to work on my site but he stopped replying when it was time. I just need little simple changes here and there depending on drops nothing big just simple buttons and cool little things to add to the site if possible. At the moment I’m trying to add a world digital clock that shows on the site whether its closed or open & I also want to add new buttons for the sizes instead of a list I want box buttons.
Topic summary
A brand owner seeks help implementing small Shopify customizations after a developer stopped responding. The work is described as simple, ongoing tweaks aligned with product “drops” (new releases).
Immediate features requested:
- Add a digital world clock on the site that indicates whether the store is open or closed. (A world clock displays current time across time zones; the open/closed status would reflect business hours.)
- Replace the size selection list with box-style buttons (clickable tiles for sizes instead of a vertical list) to improve usability and design.
No technical specs, code, or assets were provided; these are UI/UX changes expected to be lightweight. No images or attachments mentioned.
There are no replies, decisions, or commitments yet. The request remains open, with the user looking for someone “down to help” and potentially support minor updates over time.
Are you looking for something like this Can I add a realtime date an time on my website? – there is a solution there
I see.. I am looking for something similar like these
I like canary yellow how it shows your location, time, and day
Ah, that’s a bit opposite of solution I mentioned.
That was to show time at remote location (where the store is based).
Showing local time / date is easier.
Getting the location is a bit harder. If you’re Ok with country only, then using Shopify API can be sufficient. To get an actual city would require using 3rd party geolocation service, which may require payment (monthly or per/use).
Getting weather info would also require 3rd party service.
Is it something that you can do?
Yes, sure; just need some time to select those 3rd party services ![]()
Ok that’s cool do you have a messenger app like WhatsApp or a phone number to text?
