Hello, please i need help concerning this.
i made sure i uploaded a clean image (with no white frame) on my store. but i do not know why they get ending up with this white frame/placeholder all around them.
even the raw image file under the store files now carry the white background which were not part of the images when uploaded initially.
Pls help look into this and maybe an idea on how to correct it.
I had all product images deleted, cropped and re-uploaded but still ended up same. pls help!

Have you used one of the image optimization apps in your store? They often offer to make all your images same proportions, like all square.
Unfortunately, JPG images do not support transparent pixels, so the app had to use some color to pad your original images… Usually it’s white because most shops have white background.
In your case, if app offers undo, your best bet would be to undo and then “re-square” them, but choose black as fill color.
Oh okay, I now understand why. the theme has an inbuilt feature that make all images same proportions as you’ve said. is there a way for me to be able edit out the fill to black? since I am not using any app for it, i believe it could be in the codes.
any help on that please?
