I need your feedback on a Shopify site

Topic summary

A Shopify store owner seeks feedback on their niche perfumery site, Fabbrica Della Musa, aiming to improve performance and conversion rates. They note that traditional CRO tactics like customer reviews aren’t viable in this sector.

Key Recommendations Provided:

  • Typography: Consolidate to two consistent fonts—one serif (like the header logo font) and one sans-serif (like ‘EXTRAIT DE PARFUM’)—to strengthen brand identity and visual coherence.

  • Product Page Layout: Switch from a scrolling image gallery to a gallery-style layout on desktop to reduce scroll fatigue and guide visitors to product descriptions more quickly.

  • Discovery Kit Details: Add fragrance descriptions beyond just perfume names, as new customers are more likely to purchase sample sets before committing to full-sized bottles.

Positive feedback was given on the banner imagery and founder photos at the bottom of the page.

Hello to the Shopify community.

I’ve created this site: Fabbrica Della Musa
And I’ll be looking to improve it. I welcome any recommendations you may have to improve performance and conversion rates.
I do CRO on many sites but the niche perfumery sector doesn’t allow me to activate the classic levers, such as customer reviews.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Hey Max,

Very nice banner image! I also like the image of the founders at the bottom.

I would start by changing the font type and confirming on 2 fonts that will represent the brand well. For the Serif fonts used on the header menu & headlines - I will stick to the one used for ‘FABBRICA DELLA MUSA’.

And as for the sans serif used in all other content, I would pick the one that is used in ‘EXTRAIT DE PARFUM’ - the choice is ultimately up to you. But personally I would appreciate a more consistent font throughout the whole page.

In terms of the product page itself, I would recommend using a gallery type of image gallery instead of the current scroll type on the desktop view - and have more images together in the description instead. This is to prevent scroll fatigue and get the potential buyers to the description asap.

And lastly, you may want to include more description in terms of fragrance for the discovery kit - instead of just the Parfum names. As this is a newly launched brand, expect potential customers to invest more on the samples instead of a full sized bottle.

Hope this helps and good luck to you!
