I used to be able to prevent draft products from being entered on a Stocky purchase order

Topic summary

A critical feature has been removed from Stocky’s purchase order system that previously prevented draft products from being added to purchase orders.

The Problem:

  • The product status filter/preference option is no longer available in Stocky purchase orders
  • Retailers can now accidentally add draft products to purchase orders, leading to inventory being uploaded for items that aren’t yet active in the store
  • This creates a risk of receiving and tracking inventory for products still in draft status

Previous Workflow:

  • When attempting to add a draft product to a PO, the system would block it
  • This served as a fail-safe, alerting users to activate the product before ordering
  • Particularly important for seasonal retailers who may have many draft products awaiting reorder

Current Status:

  • The issue remains unresolved
  • User frustration is evident, questioning why essential features are removed during updates
  • A screenshot was attempted to illustrate the problem but upload issues were encountered

For years, PRODUCT STATUS WAS IN THE FILTER AND PREFERENCES FOR PURCHASE ORDERS IN STOCKY. WHY when their are “updates” are vital things removed??? It is extremely important to retailers, that as you add products to a purchase order, you know whether they are DRAFT items. This way, you PREVENT uploading inventory and receiving products that are STILL IN DRAFTS. When you have many new products, as retailers do, sometimes you may not reorder till the next spring , or next fall, so there may be many products in drafts that you re-order. So how is the person creating the purchase order supposed to know when an item is in DRAFT without the feature of not being able to add Draft items? When you cannot add the item to the purchase order - you KNOW you have to go BACK to the product page and change the status to active, so then you can add it to the PO - thus preventing having products with inventory and still in drafts. This was a fail safe filter/preference WHY DID YOU TAKE IT AWAY?

AND why cant I upload a screen shot???
