Just a silly promotion. I made a scroll functionality similar to what you are looking to do but a different.

So instead of just making a scroll feature there’s a load more button that loads other products on the list. Just a perspective in terms of ux. I finite scroll is what’s trending now but i personally liked this functionality to engage the user and may be create a suspense kind of feeling built with a loading animation as well and also using the lazy load feature offered by the Shopify themes.
