I want to add a new class to the body to be to be able to add the css for 2 vertical lines from the left side from the top to the bottom of the page one link and the other is yellow in accordance to the client requirement I try adding the class and then add the css on the base file but its not working

The thing is that in the main design I have a double vertical border comes along the entire site from the right side one line in pink and one in yellow with a small spacing between them.
I thought that the only way to do it by adding the class to the body tag, but I don’t think it can be achieved like this, do you have any idea how to do it, or what is the best solution to do it?
