I want to add image banner one of my page but it is being applied to all pages

Topic summary

A user is experiencing an issue where an image banner added to one page appears across all pages in their Shopify store. When they try to remove it from other pages, it also disappears from the intended page.

Root Cause:

  • Pages displaying the same banner are using the same template
  • Pages sharing a template also share the same section data and content

Solution Provided:

  • Create a new template in the Shopify customizer using the “create template” button
  • Assign the desired page to this newly created template
  • Add the image banner section only to the new template

The response includes screenshots showing where to find the assigned template in the page admin (right-hand side) and how to create a new template, allowing independent content management for different pages.

i want to add image banner one of my page but it is being applied to all pages , i want image banner in only one of my pages but its showing on all pages , when i remove from other pages , it gets removed from the page i want also, please help

Hi Ravvor,
It is likely the pages that are showing the same image banner are using the same “template”. Pages sharing the same template will also share the same section data.

When you check that page in the admin backed of your store, you can see the assigned template on the right-hand side of the page.
For example here, my “contact” page is assigned to the “contact” template.

You can easily create a new template in the customiser by clicking the “create template” button.

Create a new template, then assign the page you want to the newly created template so you can add different section content.

I hope that helps!
