One of my products is a lip balm that has 4 variants (flavors). They are at $4 each. I want to offer a 4-pack that contains one of each flavor at $12.
I was wondering if I could just add a variant for the 4-pack to the existing product or if I have to create a whole new product listing.
I want to keep track of the inventory, which is where I’m stumped. If I don’t track inventory, then just adding “4-pack” as a variant and setting the price to $12 would work?
Set the bundle product to Active. The inventory for the bundle product is determined by the stock of the original items (e.g., for a 4-pack product, if you have 10 individual items, you can sell up to 2 sets).
In this case, I recommend using the Easify Inventory Sync app to effectively manage your inventory. If you simply add a “4-pack” as a variant and set the price to $12, inventory tracking for individual lip balm flavors won’t work properly.
With Easify Inventory Sync, you can create a bundle group like this:
Master Product: 4-pack
Component Product:
Lip balm 1 with the Quantity per Bundle set to 1
Lip balm 2 with the Quantity per Bundle set to 1
Lip balm 3 with the Quantity per Bundle set to 1
Lip balm 4 with the Quantity per Bundle set to 1
How does it work?
The inventory for 4-pack will be automatically calculated based on the Individual item’s inventory.
When 1 pack of 4 lip balms is purchased, the individual items of each lip balms inventory will be reduced by 1 (total is 4)
This way, you can track the remaining stock of both the 4-pack and each individual lip balm accurately without affecting the price setting. I hope this answer helps solve the problem. If you need further assistance, feel free to reach out to Easify anytime!
Hi, If you would like to create such a bundle and keep track of inventory, I would recommend that you take a look at our Bundler app.
With our “Classic bundle”, which is on our free plan, you could configure a bundle, where your customers have to buy all four variants in order to receive the bundle discount
