I want to unlink my domain from my Shopiify Store which is Restricted

Hello Shopify Community,

I’m in a bit of a bind and could really use some guidance.

A while back, my Shopify store got restricted, and despite making multiple attempts to unlock it, the restrictions couldn’t be removed. After weeks of effort, I decided to create a brand new store to start fresh.

However, when I tried to connect the domain from my previous store to the new one, I received an error saying that the domain is “frozen.” I can’t seem to unlink it from the old, restricted store, and I’m unsure of the steps to resolve this issue.

Has anyone dealt with something similar, or does anyone know how I can successfully unlink my domain from the restricted store and connect it to my new store?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If your domain is from a third party, I highly suggest that you reach out to your domain provided so, they can fix your DNS records from and to your new account. They will be able to check as well the back-end settings of your domain to see the status.

Thanks, Roan, for your suggestion. I followed it, and it worked partially. I changed my DNS records, and after that, the domain was submitted successfully. However, later on, Shopify sent me the same message that the domain is frozen."

Let me know how I can unlink my domain from the Shopify store!!
