If search query matches collection title, hide search suggestion

I’m wondering if anyone can help with this.

For example, if I type out ‘claude monet’ in my search bar, it will suggest my Claude Monet collection, but then also suggest ‘claude monet’ as a seperate suggestion. If the search query matches a collection name in this case, I would like to hide the ‘claude monet’ search suggestion. Is this possible?

In this screenshot, the first suggestion will just show products with claude monet in the title, but I would prefer shoppers to select the third suggestion, which will take them to the collection page instead. I don’t mind other suggestions i.e. ‘claude monet bookmarks’

Alternatively, it would be good to simply have the ‘Claude Monet’ collection result at the top so that this is what shoppers are drawn to.

Better yet, it would be amazing to have a seperate column for ‘Collections’ results (like the ‘Products’ column)

Unfortunately, Shopify’s native search isn’t very customizable in this way. You might need a more advanced search app with customizable features. Apps like Searchanise or InstantSearch+ could help prioritize or filter search suggestions. Check their settings for hiding specific suggestions or refining how collections appear. Alternatively, you can modify the theme’s search.liquid file
