If variant doesn't have picture, show the product gallery

Hey guys!
I am new on shopify. I am trying to set up my shop, but i have a problem that i want fixed now.
I have products that have options like size, color, etc. The thing is that if i don’t upload a different picture on a specific variant, i would like shopify to continue showing the original product gallery.

How can i do that?
Thank you in advance for the reply!

I am using the Dawn theme, if that helps.

Hi Pimpit,

In relation to your question, I believe that if you don’t add images to individual variants, the image gallery will populate in the same order that images appear within the main product gallery.

I hope that helps

I would like to talk here with you directly. Maybe we can help others like me :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
First of all, thank you for your reply!
I will add some screen shoots. Hopefully I will be able to explain better :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Problem i have:
→ product have multiple variants, but in some cases the same pictures apply even if you change the options (this is the way i want it for some products)

The thing is that if i don’t add pictures to the variants, when i click on it in the front end, the photo gallery just disappear, and i am left with no pictures at all.

Solution i need:
→ if i don’t have pictures for variations, i don’t want the gallery to disappear.

Also, i just saw that the prices don’t change when I change options…

Thank you for your answer, but i am not that lucky… :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I didn’t got any message from you. So i understand that i have to change the theme. To what?

I am not ready to buy any theme. I am not even sure if i want to migrate to shopify in the first place, so, either i make this work for now or not…
I am sure that a bit of code will fix this as well. Just have to figure it out where
