I'll review 10 Shopify stores this week and point out what's hurting conversions

Hi Shopify Community,

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been reviewing a lot of Shopify stores and I’ve noticed something interesting.

Many stores don’t actually have a traffic problem. They have a conversion problem.

I’ve seen stores spending money on ads, posting consistently on social media, and even ranking on Google, yet they’re still struggling to make sales because of small issues on their website.

This week, I’d like to review 10 Shopify stores and provide honest feedback.

I’ll look at things like:

First impression and branding

Homepage structure

Product pages

Trust and credibility

Customer journey

Conversion opportunities

SEO basics

Your biggest challenge right now (traffic, conversions, SEO, ads, or something else)

I’ll do my best to give practical suggestions that you can actually implement.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone is building.

Hi @dorissolutions,

In my experience as a developer, I have seen the same thing. The conversion funnel is frequently not optimized for the client journey even though the technical setup is good. The store owners that are having trouble with sales would undoubtedly benefit much from this audit. I’ll be keeping up with the developments.

Thnaks!

Hi there :raising_hands:

I completely agree with this.

One pattern I’ve noticed is that many stores focus on getting more traffic before they’ve optimized what happens after a visitor lands on the site. Sometimes the issue isn’t attracting people—it’s giving them enough confidence and clarity to make a purchase.

A surprisingly common conversion killer is friction on the product page. Things like unclear product information, confusing option selection, hidden shipping details, or too many decisions can create hesitation and lead to abandoned sessions.

I’ve also seen stores improve conversions by making product choices more intuitive and visual. When customers can quickly understand what they’re buying and confidently select the right option, the shopping experience feels much smoother.

Traffic is important, but I’ve often found that fixing a few key conversion bottlenecks can produce better results than increasing ad spend.

Looking forward to seeing some of the stores shared in this thread and the insights that come from the reviews! :pink_heart:
