I'm beign charged for an app that uninstalled

Topic summary

A merchant is being charged for apps they believe were uninstalled before the trial period ended. Screenshots show charges appearing in their billing cycle.

Key Issue:

  • The user installed an app (Dropast ‑ Taobao Dropshipping) on July 16th and uninstalled it on July 23rd
  • They’re being charged despite believing they acted within the 7-day trial period

Explanation Provided:

  • The app has a 7-day trial starting from installation time
  • If installed before 4:10 PM on July 16th and uninstalled at 4:10 PM on July 23rd, the trial had already expired by one hour
  • According to Shopify’s billing policy, charges apply even if an app is uninstalled on the day the trial ends
  • The user reinstalled the app temporarily to investigate the charges

Outcome:
The merchant expresses frustration with this billing practice, finding it absurd. The issue appears to stem from precise trial timing rather than an error.

I’m positive I uninstalled these apps before their trial expired, yet they still appear in my bill. ?

As you can see on Dropast ‑ Taobao Dropshipping, their trial period is 7 days.
Looks like the subscription started on July 23rd.
If you didn’t uninstall the app before July 23rd, you will get charged even if you uninstalled the app on the 24th or 25th.

Yes, I initially installed it on the 16’th and uninstalled it on 23rd.

I installed it again yesterday to figure out what’s happening.

Hi @cambabuur , looks like you installed the app before 4:10 PM on July 16th.
For example, if you installed the app at 4:09 PM on July 16th and uninstalled the app at 4:10 PM on July 23rd, you will be charged since the trial period ended.
