Hi all!
So my online jewellery business (saikocollective.com) has been live since September 2022 and things have been going pretty well… until now.
I was wondering if anyone had any advice, knowledge or tips at all about how to improve things or if it’s perfectly normal.
So since starting my store late last year, I ran Facebook and Instagram ads and managed to make around 1-2 sales per day on average right from the get-go which I was super happy with and got my confidence up. Sales increased WoW until it reached the peak at the start of October where I had 19 orders in one week, but after that week I ran out of stock of my best seller and sales then declined and never got back to where they were until the Boxing Day period. I ran a Boxing Day sale until the start of January where sales peaked and I managed to get 20 orders in 1 week which was the best week so far.
However, after that ended sales basically just dropped off a cliff even though I had the same ad budget and the same sort of ads. I then ran a 2-3 week Valentines Sale around Feb and sales shot back up just below Boxing Day levels. But now that that’s over, sales dropped off a cliff…again.
I’ve offered free shipping basically the entire time and even tried dropping the prices a bit to see if that helped but to
no success. I know that this shouldn’t be a surprise because Q4 is known to outperform the rest of the others by a mile and the start of Q1 is always super hard, but I’m starting to get worried because I would love to have fairly consistent sales all year around and not have to rely on sales which I am worried could make the brand look cheap. I’ve had a lot of abandoned carts and checkouts and I’ve only gotten positive feedback from customers saying they’re super happy with the products and customer service.
I’m considering using all of my small profits to try and extend my product line and get more professional model and product photos to see if that helps.
Does anyone have any advice or tips? Literally anything is appreciated!
