Image Banner Hyperlink Issue - Craft Theme

I use the craft theme, and I have a section of my website where I have image banners that hyperlink to other sections of my website. I found this custom code on the internet, and don’t remember where.

For the longest time, on mobile if I was on this page with the hyperlinked image banners, and then wanted to click into another section of the site using the drawer menu, it would give the hyperlinked image priority.

Now, I have fixed that by changing the z-index (I think.)

My issue now is that with this fix, I have now found a much worse problem - If I go into desktop mode, my hyperlinks no longer work. It’s when my px is over 750, a new line of code emerges (when I have inspected it on Google Chrome) and I truly don’t know what to do.
