Image Banner Link to images Dawn theme 4.0

Hi I just want to know if anyone has been successfully able to link their images to a url on image banner of the Dawn 4.0 theme.

I followed this thread

and at first thought I was successful but the desktop version of my website was out of whack.

Any tips or advice?
