For the longest time Image quality has been a massive deciding factor in store success. Im sure many around feel this way and have prioritized the quality of their content to match the quality of their products. (hopefully)
My problem is we shoot content on professional cameras, that even after optimization, I cannot lower the bytes below 200kb. Is the only solution just reshooting with a lower quality?
My process involves resizing the original image and exporting for web. (im currenlty setting the quality setting to 5-10)
Say I don’t have the access nor the time to go out and re-shoot all our images. I can only work with what I got. Regular non-edited image sizes range in the 8MB to 40MB range. Is my problem fixable?
Is it really possible to get these images into the 40-100Kb range without having the images look like a pixelated mess?
The other solution I’d be willing to check out, is lazy loading the specific images that are slowing down the page, in this case, how can i lazy load specific images from the bunch I add in Product images?
