I am looking for a way to create an image map to a jpg image or add hyperlinked pdf’s to my website so that I can have many clickable links on any of my pages. I am aware of a website called https://www.image-map.net/ that is used to create image maps, and a Shopify forum (https://community.shopify.com/topic/406491) going over the topic. I am new to coding, however I know that a code is generated via https://www.image-map.net/ , which you are then supposed to paste somewhere. I have yet to figure out the process to successfully creating an image map, and also how to allow this to work on mobile and desktop versions of my site. I have pdf’s that already have clickable links as well, but then realized that Shopify doesn’t support hyperlinked pdf’s. Would love to know if there is a way to either successfully create an image map, or a get around to adding hyperlinked pdf’s to part of my website. Thank you in advance.
Hi Fraise,
This may be close to what you are looking: https://sections.design/blogs/shopify/product-tooltips.
You can add tooltips not regions, but it may help.
Thank you so much for responding! I find it fascinating how there is still no way to include a simple hyperlink and use that in my website design. Canva is a website that allows you to create custom designs with hyperlinks, and also allows you to create a website once you’re done(not a selling platform and doesn’t have the option to purchase a domain). I wonder why Shopify hasn’t come up with something similar yet. It is literally so simple to create hyperlinked websites. Hyperlinks have been around since what seems like forever lol . Hmmm… Wonder if there is a get around to this issue…
