Image SEO - What is the best way to name multiple image files focusing on ONE keyword

I have 700+ blog posts that I will be adding to my site over the next year.

Each blog post will have between 10 - 60 pics of a unique DIY project - and I want to focus each post around ONE keyword. Again, one keyword per one blog post.

My question is this, if I am creating a post focused on this example keyword “Red Brick Paver Patio”, would it be better to name all the pics in the post like this:

  • Red Brick Paver Patio 1
  • Red Brick Paver Patio 2
  • Red Brick Paver Patio 3
  • Red Brick Paver Patio 4
  • Red Brick Paver Patio 5

or

  • Red Brick Paver Patio and outside bar
  • Sunbrella on a Red Brick Paver Patio
  • Red Brick Paver Patio at Sunset
  • Red Brick Paver Patio and furniture
  • My dog loves my Red Brick Paver Patio

Again, this is for image SEO.

Option 1 would be a HUGE TIME SAVER. Like WEEKS!

So if there is not a huge difference between either SEO image route, Option 1 would be the best (sane) choice since we have over 15,000 images to post (it’s for an online photo gallery for our customers).

I just want to get some thoughts before we begin.

Thank you -

Thanks!

Hey @Brickwood ,

It sounds like you would need something to bulk edit your images. You can use an application to save some time editing the alt text for SEO purpose. There are some free apps that can do the job, but I specifically found this app that show up at first rank in search results, maybe you can try it out: Bulk Image Edit
