hello! I am not new to Shopify. I am new to trying to edit an email template.
We’re doing a brand refresh, we need to add a note to to our order confirmation message to let folks know we’re shipping both the old branding and the new for a while.
I added the note, I added images from the CDN library. The images show up perfectly when I click “preview” but not when I send a test email. The test email is coming to a gmail account.
I did read the advice about checking for alts + words in the links that might alert spam filters, but the links are very generic (no recogniable english words) and I’m not using alts.
It’s hard to give much advice here without being able to see the code itself. Are you in a position to make a cut down version (that you’ve also tested) that you feel comfortable in sharing here? I get that you might want to hide the brand so this cut down version could just use a placeholder image assuming you can replicate the same result.
When you say the image doesn’t show, what does that mean? a not found image, a bad link, missing entirely?
I would also suggest you look at the debug console in your browser to see if the image (head to network tab and filter by images) is actually loading and it’s just a formatting problem preventing it in showing as you expect.
