Images incorrectly cropped on Venture theme mobile

Hello,

I’m creating a new Shopify store using the Venture theme.
For some reason, my main slider images are very oddly cropped on Mobile.
They look great on Desktop and are at the correct recommended resolution of 1800 x 1000

I’m also having issues with the images for the product info which are also rendered at the correct recommended aspect ratio.

There’s no possible way to get them to look consistent and centered on both Mobile and Desktop.
I’m not sure why my images are getting cropped so randomly and drastically for mobile.
Any help on how to correct this would be great.

Hello, @bandacap .

This is Elias from Shopify Support. I’d be happy to lend a hand with this!

I understand that you’re looking for the best aspect ratio for your slideshow images. While there isn’t a recommended aspect ratio, there is a file size limit of 20 megapixels or megabytes. However, we do have some tips that can help you better frame the slideshow image for mobile and desktop. Please check out our guide on Best practices for slideshows, image banners, and full-width images.

Based on your screenshot, I think you’re pretty close to framing the slideshow perfectly. That being said, I think you just need to crop the left of the image a little more and that should center the subject in frame. As for the product images, our Theme Support may be able to help adjust the aspect ratio for your products. Though I’m unable to help create a customization request via the Shopify Community, our Support team would be happy to assist you with this through live chat, email, or callback. To get in touch with our Support team, please visit the Shopify Help Center and log into your account.

I’d love to know if this helps point you in the right direction to resolving the image issues. Keep me posted!
