So I am on main-product.liquid and I’m trying to create a product template but I am unable to include the snippet file for some reason. I know the place I placed it on is wrong but really stumped as to what to do next or is impulse customizable this way? Thanks for the help!

Your query is unclear to me, You can include snippets anywhere you want (except in any other snippet). I want to know what exactly you are trying to achieve and if you are using Shopify 2.0?
