Import from spreadsheet column info questions

Hello, and thanks for any help. I’m a newbie at Shopify but have used other shopping cart packages. I basically have one main product, Sports Illustrated magazines. In other carts I standardized my columns of info so I could import hundreds at a time. Most columns for me are basic repeatable info. I’d like to be able to type in my basic info beforehand. These are my 2 questions with Shopify importing.

  1. What should be in the very first column as it seems to be generated from the 2nd column info?

  2. Will I have to leave the image column blank and add images in the Shopify products page later? (not against that if it’s better overall)

Hi Vinny.

The first column basically becomes your URL handle (mystore.com/URL-HANDLE) so if you leave column 1 blank it will populate it from column. If you want something different then you can input this into column 1.

Photo column can be left blank too if you want to manually upload each product image. or if they are hosted somewhere you can include the source in here to import then
