I got an email from Merchant Trust Team from Shopify but email id is
andrewburk30@gmail.com and he claims he is from Shopify team and my shop will be permanently closed and he stated “Specifically, your account is in violation of Section 7 of our policy, which necessitates prompt action to avoid permanent account closure.” But in my shop I did not got any notification or any alert.
Just wanted to know is this real or a scam.

Sorry Shivvik, I received alike email from Shopify, but they don’t use Gmail email.so it’s a spam. Normally if you get infos from Shopify official and then In most cases, you haven’t made a payment to any Shopify plans or have filled out some fake information to apply for Shopify payment.
Ya Dave that was my doubt because Shopify team dint user gmail Id for communication and when I asked him more details he was telling me to share my shop link, and I said when you are from Shopify team you would be having all my information and why you need my shop link
Just ignore that, it’s normal when you have a Shopify store and anyone will try to connect you for any reason.
aahh thank you so much for responding. I was just wondering when I was wrong because yesterday only I paid Shopify bills and today when I got this I was little surprised.

@ProtoMan44 ya because the email itself was suspecious. Because if there is any policy violation I would be getting official email from Shopify team itself. I was in dilema so that’s why started this communication.
