Impulse : Add name field newsletter in the footer

Hi, I want to add a ‘‘Name’’ field in my newsletter form in the footer of my website. Can you help me with this please? I use the Impulse theme. Thank you!

Thanks for reaching out here! That is a great question.

If you’d like to edit theme code yourself I found a video tutorial that shows how to achieve this step by step. Keep in mind, this is an unofficial tutorial and may not be up-to-date at all times. For that reason, before you customize a theme, it’s a good idea to make a backup copy so that you can discard your changes and start again if you need to.

Finally, as you are using a paid third-party theme, feel free to contact the theme developer to see if they can complete this customisation for you. You can find their contact info here. Also hiring a Shopify Expert who can do this on your behalf is another option to consider. Let me know if that helps.

Hi, thanks for the answer but I contacted the developer of my theme and they didn’t help much. I think that someone who knows how to do it will solve this in 5 minutes so I don’t think that I need to hire a Shopify Expert just for this problem. But I’m not good at coding so that’s why I’m asking. Can someone else help me here?

Has your developer advised you they don’t offer this type of customization at this time?

Also, did you try to follow the guide I shared in the previous post. It takes you step by step through the process, and you can always give it a try on the theme copy - not your original theme. If it doesn’t work you can discard/delete that theme from your store. See here how to quickly make a theme copy.

Otherwise, if you plan to have someone do this on your behalf - whether it’s an agency or a freelancer please review this help document on what permissions you should give to the person you hire.
