I have installed impulse theme but not showing any option of create template when i click on product and also not showing any option of product edit on product page. Like product variant picker , description option . In short there in no option od edit a product . it just showing me 3 options product pages , product reccomendation and recently viewed products.
Hi, @mansoorikram . I’m happy to look into this with you! I just have a few questions to better understand what’s happening on your end. I want to make sure I give you helpful advice. If you have any screenshots of what your theme editor looks like this will help as well.
- Can you tell me more about the steps you’re taking to edit your product pages?
- Which version of Impulse are you currently using?
- Was your theme working correctly before or has it always been this way?
For your product pages, some details (like the product name, product variants, description, and product images) will be edited by going to Products in your Shopify admin and selecting the product you want to edit. Other details (like the layout of the product page template) will be edited in your theme editor by going to Online store > Themes > Customize. In your case, most of the examples you shared would be found within your theme editor so I’d recommend starting to troubleshoot there.
Your theme settings should look similar to the screenshots I’ve shared below. To get to your product page template, click the dropdown setting at the top of your theme editor and select Product > Default product. This is the template that’s applied to all of your product pages by default, and you can customize it by using the theme’s available sections and blocks. The settings you mentioned, for example, ‘Related products’ and ‘Recently viewed’, are the names of sections that come with the Impulse theme. To edit this further you would want to click into those sections to open the settings for each section. You can also add additional sections and blocks to customize the page. This guide on using sections and blocks to customize themes can help. If you need to create a new page template you would need to click the same dropdown menu at the top of the page in your theme editor and go to Product > Create template. You can also find the steps to create and apply new templates in this guide.
