In Checkout - once item qty is adjusted - 'Your art is empty' message appears

Hi,

I have a problem using the Debut theme.

Once a product is added to the cart, in the checkout page, if the qty of a product is adjusted and the new number exceeds the qty in stock, the page changes to display the ‘Your Cart is Empty’ default page. Once the 'Continue shopping link is clicked and we are back on the main shopping pages, the cart is displayed as having items in the cart, but only the available qty’s of the items.

I do know that our site has just been updated to the ‘single checkout page’ and this may be affecting the site. But I’m not sure. I have no idea why this is happening or where to go to try and fix this problem. I would just like the ‘your cart is empty’ page to not show up. I would rather an error message saying ’ we don’t have that many items in stock - please select a lower qty’ or something to show up.

You must select option Continue selling when out of stock in your product quantity to solve this issue.

Thanks for that, I know of that option, but it’s not possible to use this as many of the products we sell cannot be reordered to fulfill the request and are running to end of life. Because of this we need to keep track of the qty’s we sell nad don’t want customers to over order stock we don’t have.
