Ingredients from Walmart

is it possible for me to set up a business on Shopify where customers can send me recipes and pay me based on how the dish looks and tastes by buying Ingredients from Walmart to make the recipe request that was given to me in the file? And before you ask:I will be making the food and giving them to the customers, and before I get paid I just need them to send me the dishes that will be made for either pickup or delivery. Also, I want them to send me any recipe they can think of, from any country, appetizer, entree, or dessert, I would be happy to make any of them. But I can only do one at a time and sometimes multitask. And yes, the recipe will be displayed on my website in files. And I want them to tell me the exact price…while also placing the order. For example:A customer will pay me 15$ for a hamburger and fries meal from a recipe that they sent me in the files. So that would mean, if they sent me the recipe for the hamburger and fries meal, I would make it from the recipe and give them the food. Then after they taste the food and provide me with some feedback, they will pay me the 15$.

Hi cbrown218,

It’s an interesting and unique business idea you have! Setting up a business on Shopify where customers can send you recipes, and you create the dishes using ingredients from Walmart, sounds like a creative venture. Here’s how you might approach it:

Business Setup on Shopify:1. Create Your Shopify Store:

  • Start by setting up your Shopify store with a clean, user-friendly design. Include sections for different types of recipes (appetizers, entrees, desserts).
  1. Recipe Submission:

    • Use a form builder app like “Form Builder by POWr” to create a custom form where customers can upload their recipes and specify their dish requirements.
  2. Order and Payment Process:

    • Set up a system where customers can place an order by submitting their recipe and specifying the price they are willing to pay. You can create product listings for custom recipe submissions with a variable pricing option.
    • Use Shopify’s “Manual Payments” option to allow customers to pay after they have received and tasted the food. This ensures you can receive feedback before payment is finalized.
  3. Pickup and Delivery:

    • Integrate a delivery scheduling app like “Store Pickup + Delivery” to manage pickup and delivery options for your customers.
    • Clearly outline your delivery area and policies on your website.
  4. Customer Feedback:

    • After delivering the dish, request feedback from your customers. You can set up an automated email or a follow-up form to gather their thoughts on the dish.
  5. Display Recipes:

    • Create a blog or a dedicated section on your website where you display the recipes you have made. This can also act as a portfolio of your culinary skills.

Additional Considerations:- Health and Safety Regulations: Ensure you comply with local health and safety regulations for preparing and delivering food.

  • Ingredient Sourcing: Clearly explain that ingredients are sourced from Walmart and ensure transparency about the quality and sourcing of ingredients.
  • Scalability: Consider how you will manage multiple orders, especially if you are multitasking. You may need to set realistic limits on the number of orders you can handle at one time.

Example Workflow:1. Customer submits a recipe via a form on your website and specifies the price they will pay.

  1. You review the recipe and confirm the order.
  2. Prepare the dish using ingredients sourced from Walmart.
  3. Deliver the dish to the customer or arrange for pickup.
  4. Customer provides feedback and pays for the dish after tasting it.

By setting up your business this way, you can manage customer expectations and ensure a smooth ordering and payment process. Good luck with your culinary venture!

Best regards,
