Hi! I’m interested to buy an item from this shopify site. But, seems one desired vinyl is way cheaper comparing to other sites, and it isn’t much out there.

Hello @dfyp3852

  1. The domain is a default Shopify subdomain (myshopify.com), which is common for new or possibly temporary stores. Legitimate businesses usually use a custom domain like vinyl45records.com.

  2. No branding or content on the homepage — it returns a “Opening Soon” message. That means the storefront is password-protected and not open to the public. You can’t browse the store or view the product listings directly.

  3. No business details available — such as contact info, about page, social media, or policies — which are all red flags when it comes to trusting a store.

  4. The fact that you’re seeing a rare vinyl at a much lower price than anywhere else is another red flag. Scammers often list hard-to-find or highly desirable products at bargain prices to lure buyers.

What You Should Do Before Buying:
. Contact the store owner: See if there’s an email or contact form (though currently there’s no way to access the store).

. Ask for proof of the item (photos, a timestamp, etc.).

. Pay with a secure method, like a credit card or PayPal (never wire money or use crypto for unverified sellers).

. Google the store name and check for reviews or complaints.

Verdict:
At this point, I do not recommend purchasing from this store. It’s locked, unbranded, and using a default Shopify subdomain — and the pricing sounds too good to be true.

Thank you
