Insert email address on to a product description page

I believe I understand what you want to achieve. However, it would be really great if you could share an example of how your idea looks in action.

If you’re looking to make the email address clickable within product description, you’ll need to add a hyperlink from the rich text editor. There is more about this under Insert links with the rich text editor in our Help center. I’ll break down the steps for you below:

  1. Log in to your Shopify Admin.
  2. Open the page where the text you want to edit is.

I’m guessing in this case it’s, Online store > Products.

  1. Highlight the text you want to link, in this case - the email address yourname@example.com.
  2. Click Insert link.
  3. In the link to field type: mailto:yourname@example.com
  4. Click Insert link.
  5. Don’t forget to click Save.

A tip for you as well, you can also make the phone number clickable by following the same steps, but entering “tel:” and then the phone number (instead of mailto:). That’s explained in the help document I linked as well.
