I have been trying to get instagram shopping for quite some time now (a few months) and it still won’t work. I have already deactivated the app a few times and tried everything again but that doesn’t work.

check out the updated support blog whether your country supports the Facebook and Instagram shops. if eligible then would need a deep inspection.

Yes possible . Have you checked https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-sales-channels/facebook-instagram-by-meta/requirements . Seems need to reset your account.
