I am trying to install the back in stock button onto my refine theme so I can have the back in stock flow with Klaviyo. I have followed the steps on klaviyo but the Refine theme doesn’t seem to allow me to click on the products that are out of stock. Is there a way to overcome this?
Topic summary
A user is attempting to integrate Klaviyo’s back-in-stock notification feature with the Refine Shopify theme but encounters an issue: the theme disables clicking on out-of-stock products, preventing access to product pages required for Klaviyo’s native setup.
Problem identified:
- Refine theme blocks interaction with out-of-stock items
- This conflicts with Klaviyo’s back-in-stock flow requirements
Proposed solution:
A respondent suggests using the “REZ – Back in Stock ‐ Notify Me” app as an alternative, highlighting:
- Compatible with Refine theme
- No coding required
- Free plan available (up to 1,000 emails/month)
- Bypasses the theme limitation
The discussion remains open, with the respondent offering setup assistance if the original poster wants to explore this alternative approach.
Hi Kate,
I see what you’re running into, some themes like Refine disable the “Add to Cart” or make the product unclickable when it’s out of stock, which makes it tricky to use Klaviyo’s native back-in-stock setup, since it relies on the product page being accessible.
If you’re looking for an easier solution, our app REZ – Back in Stock ‑ Notify Me works with most themes, including Refine, and doesn’t require customers to click into the product or rely on Klaviyo’s setup.
- No coding needed
- Free plan with up to 1,000 emails/month – free forever
We’d love to help you get it working smoothly on your store if you’re open to trying it!
